Seafarers Yacht Club
The Seafarers Yacht Club, Inc. was formed in 1959 and is one of the oldest historically African American yacht clubs in the country. Located in the historic Eastport Peninsula on Back Creek in Annapolis, Maryland, SYC has been a community pillar for 60 years.
Seafarers Foundation
The chartering organization for Sea Scout Ship 1959 is the Seafarers Foundation, Inc., the 501 (c) (3) philanthropic arm of SYC. The Seafarers Foundation has had a long history of working in the Annapolis community, especially with our Summer Youth Program focused on teaching swimming and life skills to historically underserved communities.
